Can I Succeed At A Distance?
Is it important for you to further your education, but you dont live near a
college or university? Or your schedule and commitments dont allow you to
attend on-campus classes?
If you need flexibility, you may find distance learning the best way to fit
studies into an already busy life and "have it all"!
Having it all is far from easy, but as award-winning DDP graduate Mary Papp
(Taholah, WA) explains, "DDP not only allowed me the opportunity to further
my education, but it allowed me to keep my title of breadwinner, mother, foster
parent and wife. This program was flexible enough to fit into my neverending
schedule."
In a recent study, DDP graduates and current students shared the following
suggestions for success.
|
Identify your goal and keep it in mind. |
|
Be realistic about what you can handle at one time. |
|
Organize and plan ahead. Schedule study time and course deadlines, then study
daily and review regularly. |
|
Read and follow all directions for completing your courses.
|
|
Dont try to do it all yourself! Ask for help as you need it. DDP staff,
academic advisers, and course instructors are here to help youand don't forget
your family and friends! |
|
Work hard but reward yourself!
|
If you're still trying to decide if distance learning is right for you, take the Distance Learning Quiz
(Distance Learning Quiz) and use the feedback to help make your decision.

say it much better than DDP 1994 graduates Elizabeth Rodriguez and Nancy

have some important questions that need to be answered.
