Transfer Credit Information
The WSU Office of Admissions determines transferability and applicability of transfer credits by evaluating the transcripts provided as part of the admission process. The results of this evaluation are detailed in the Transfer Credit Report (TCR) which your academic advisor sent to you in your initial advising packet. You can check transferability of courses from a limited number of institutions and/or WSU equivalencies online at WSU's Transfer Center.
A maximum of 90 semester credit hours (135 quarter credit hours) from an accredited four year institution, or from a combination of institutions, can be transferred to use toward your WSU degree, however, no more than 73 semester credit hours may be lower-division credits.

Maintaining or Reactivating Admission Status
After being admitted to and enrolled at WSU, your admission status will remain current if you are enrolled in at least one NEW course during fall or spring semestersummer enrollment is not considered in the maintenance or reactivation of admission status. If you do not enroll in at least one new course during fall or spring semester in an academic year, you will have a "break" in your enrollment. This rule applies even if you still are working on courses in which you are enrolled.
To enroll in an upcoming semester following a break in enrollment, you will need to reactivate your admission status as a former student which involves the following steps:
- Apply online as a former WSU student (Apply online). See the DDP academic calendar for specific deadline dates (DDP Academic Calendar Index; choose the semester prior to the semester for which you want to be admitted).
- Complete the online form and submit it. Mail all unopened, official copies of transcripts for courses you may have taken at other institutions since you last applied for admission to WSU, or, request that the other institutions forward the transcripts, to the to the WSU Office of Admissions (see address in "Contacts"). As a former student, you pay no admission application fee.
Please Note:
- Allow enough time prior to the beginning of classes (a minimum of one month) for the WSU Office Admissions to process this information. If you need to submit additional transcripts, remember to allow extra time for them to be processed.
- If you had a break in enrollment and were academically deficient, in addition to reapplying for admission, you also must apply for reinstatement to WSU (Reinstatement Process for DDP Students). See the DDP academic calendar for specific deadline dates (DDP Academic Calendar Index; choose the semester prior to semester you want to be admitted).

For me, the distance education experience has been rich and rewarding. I am impressed with the vision and "teamwork" of the WSU DDP staff and grateful for the opportunities provided to non-traditional students, such as me, through this program.
