DDP and ASWSU-DDP are excited and proud to announce creation of a scholarship program specifically for students seeking degrees through DDP. Scholarships in amounts of $500 to $1000 per semester will be offered starting in fall 2007 and will be awarded based on both academic merit and financial need.
The deadline for scholarships awarded in the fall for one academic year (fall and spring semesters) is June 1 and the deadline for a limited number of scholarships awarded in the spring for spring semester only is November 1.
Requirements
To be eligible for the ASWSU-DDP scholarship students must meet the following requirements:
- Degree Status: Only new or continuing students seeking degrees offered through WSU's Distance Degree Programs can apply for ASWSU-DDP scholarships offered on a yearly basis.
- Academic Standing: To be eligible to apply for and receive an ASWSU-DDP scholarship students must meet the following requirements (students awarded academic-year scholarships who fail to meet the completion or grade requirements for fall semester will forfeit their awards for spring).
- Be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) semesters hours of credit
- Complete all of their courses within any given semester
- Maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average
- FAFSA: Students must have submitted a current Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and include a copy of the Student Aid Report (SAR) generated from the FAFSA with their scholarship application to determine financial need.
Application Process
- Print the online ASWSU-DDP scholarship application linked from your My DDP Advising Web page (DDP H D degree-seeking students should use the link in their My DDP menu).
- Complete the application, answering all questions, and sign it. Answer "does not apply" to any questions on the application that do not apply to you.
- Submit the completed and signed form with all supporting documentation attached, including a copy of your Student Aid Report, to the following address:

Applications must be postmarked on or before the following deadlines (no exceptions):
- Application for academic year (fall & spring semesters): June 1
- Application for spring semester only: November 1
Award Determination
Applications will be processed by the Distance Degree Programs Scholarship Committee. Students will be notified of their award status no later than July 15th for an academic year scholarship beginning in the fall and no later than December 1 for a spring scholarship.
